RIVA was founded by Aussies who were tired of it. Tired of stepping out of the shower feeling worse than when they stepped in. So we went looking for the cause.
The problem is in the water
The culprit is not your shampoo. It is your tap water. Sydney and Melbourne supplies are heavily chloraminated. That is a stubborn form of chlorine that stays in the water all the way to your shower head.
Chloramine keeps drinking water safe. It also strips the natural oils that protect your skin and hair. Every shower, every day.
A lesson from K-beauty
Korea worked this out years ago. Vitamin C shower filters have been a staple of K-beauty routines for a generation, because Vitamin C neutralises chlorine and chloramine on contact.
We took that heritage and engineered it for Australian water. The result is a dual filter core: Vitamin C to neutralise chlorine and chloramine, plus KDF and carbon to reduce heavy metals, rust and impurities.
Designed to be seen
Filtered shower heads have always looked like plumbing parts. Ours does not. The RIVA ONE is a handheld oval-loop design, anodised in burnt orange, white or black.
Inside the loop sit 1,200 micro-jets. That means a dense, even spray at full pressure. Filtration should never mean a weak shower, and with RIVA it never does.

RIVA is a brand operated by Happy Cart Limited, a Hong Kong-registered business entity. We run as a small remote team, built by Aussies, for Australian bathrooms and Australian water.
